📢📢CSL Courtesy Reminder Notices are being sent home this week. These papers show the number of completed and correctly documented hours earned for semester one (August 5 through December 20). It does not include moving day service. 🪧🪧Students and parents should sign and date and return the notices to the homeroom teacher. 🪧🪧 Remember, your should have completed 20 hours by the first week of May. That means there are 14 weeks left. Be deliberate and search out opportunities. You are limited to 6 hours of donations and 10 hours in one location. Mrs. Belinda Johnson, MPMS teacher, brought her certified service dogs, Mary Grace and Daisy to school. 🐕‍🦺The dogs enjoyed students reading Christmas books to them. 🎄They also enjoyed the treats and belly rubs!🦴 It seems like the kids enjoyed it too!❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Our 2024 PAGE STAR Student & STAR Teacher! 🌟 We’re thrilled to announce that Rose Lehman, a senior at the Scholars Academy of Thomasville High School, has been named the 2024 PAGE STAR Student, and her math teacher, Elaina Johnson, has been honored as STAR Teacher for her dedication and outstanding guidance. The PAGE STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) program, presented by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), celebrates academic excellence among high school seniors across Georgia. To earn this honor, Rose met rigorous criteria, including earning the highest SAT score at her school on a single test date through November of her senior year, while also ranking among the top 10 percent of her class based on grade point average. Mrs. Johnson, who teaches courses including Geometry, AP Calculus, and AP Statistics, was nominated for her exceptional teaching, ability to inspire students, and unwavering dedication to academic success. Her mentorship has played a key role in Rose’s remarkable achievements. 🎥🌦️ Special Visit from WCTV! 🌦️🎥 Our 6th graders had an exciting day with Mike McCall and Josh Green from WCTV! 📺 They shared the latest in the field of meteorology, from weather patterns to storm tracking. 🌪️🌧️ The highlight? Learning how the green screen works! 💚 Students had a blast seeing how weather forecasts come to life on screen.
