
Isaac Mateo, Antonio Carpio, Ethan Ellis, and Trevor Powell completed a rigorous audition process back in December and earned spots to perform in the 2024 District II Honor Band this weekend. These young musicians rehearsed for and performed a concert in the span of just 24 hours. We are so proud to have such talented musicians representing our school and band program!

Thomasville High School Senior Landon Beaty was recognized as Covey Film Festivalβs Student Film Competition honoree for his documentary on Jack Hadley and the Imperial Hotel. The Governorβs Honors Semifinalist have been announced. Congratulations to Lexander Lummer, Carlisle Bilbo, Athalia Knight, Ella Carroll,and Rose Lehman. Approximately 4,200 students were nominated and these Scholars students will join 1,500 other students from across the state as the progress to the next round of interviews/auditions.


Congratulations to Senior Makenna Ponder on her Bronze Medal finish last night in the 100 M Breaststroke at the GHSA AAA State Championships! Makenna finished with a time of 1:10.70, which is a NEW SCHOOL RECORD! This medal finishes an outstanding career as a swimmer at THS in which she qualified for the State Championships all 4 years. Congratulations Makenna and thank you for representing the T so well throughout your career!

Anyone is encouraged to join, download the eBird app for free and record the birds that are observed. This data goes into an international bank to track the number and migratory patterns of birds.

Alyriah is the corps Operations Officer and she has done a fabulous job to help the corps get ready for our upcoming 3-year evaluation. She has ensured all field trips, college visits and community service events have gone smoothly. She monitors our bi-monthly ALPO mentoring gatherings and oversees new cadets' transition into JROTC.
