What an exciting week it was to be a Bulldog last week! Many of our arts and athletics programs were in action last week and they represented Thomasville proudly. Here is a recap of last week's action:
The Thomasville High School One Act Play Cast and Crew won the Region 1-AA One-Act Championship on Friday in their Shakespeare performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Not only did the cast and crew perform brilliantly, but Thomasville High School also took home many individual awards including: Best Actress-Julianna Watson, Best Actor-Reid Harbin, Best Supporting Actor Jaxson Hodge, and All-Star Cast members Julia Thrift and Ellie Griffin.
The Thomasville High School Swim Team competed in their last meet of the regular season on Wednesday against Perry High School, Thomas County Central High School, and Coffee County High School. Katherine Jones took home first place in the 200-yard freestyle. Olivia Suite placed third in the 50-yard freestyle. Katherine Jones also placed third in the 100-yard butterfly. Lewis Stringfellow placed third in the 100-yard butterfly. Olivia Suite placed second in the 100-yard backstroke.
We look forward to seeing Lewis Stringfellow compete at Georgia Tech next week at the state meet.
Congratulations to the Thomasville High School Boys Basketball Team on their victories over Cook High School, 60-40, and Early County, 48-43, over the weekend. The Thomasville High School Bulldogs improve to 12-1 overall and 7-0 in region play with the victories from last week.
