Thomasville City Schools Celebrates 90.3% Graduation Rate
THOMASVILLE, GA — Thomasville City Schools is proud to announce a 90.3% four-year graduation rate for 2026, reflecting the hard work of students and the continued support of teachers, counselors, staff, families, and community partners.
Behind that number are Bulldogs who worked hard to reach the finish line and a school community committed to helping students stay on track, overcome challenges, and prepare for what comes next.
“Reaching a 90.3% graduation rate is an important milestone for Thomasville City Schools,” said Superintendent Dr. Scott Sweeting. “This achievement represents the hard work of our students and the adults who continue to support them. We are proud of what our Bulldogs have accomplished, but we also recognize that our work does not stop here. Our goal is to continue raising achievement and expanding opportunities for every student.”
Thomasville City Schools continues to strengthen systems designed to identify students who may need additional support and provide targeted interventions to help them remain on track for graduation. These efforts include academic support, credit recovery opportunities, student progress monitoring, counseling and graduation planning, and an increased focus on individual student needs.
The district’s focus extends beyond earning a diploma. Through Bulldog +1, Thomasville City Schools is working to prepare students for the critical first year after high school, with the goal of helping every Bulldog leave TCS enrolled, enlisted, or employed and prepared for their next step.
“Our students are demonstrating what is possible when we maintain high expectations and surround them with the right supports,” said Dr. Trish Lirio, Chief Officer of Federal Programs and School Improvement. “A 90.3% graduation rate is something our entire community can celebrate.”
Thomasville City Schools remains focused on using student achievement and graduation data to identify opportunities for continued improvement and strengthen instructional and support systems across the district.
The district’s continued focus remains clear: measure growth, raise achievement, expand opportunities, and prepare every Thomasville student for what comes next.
