🚨Important Weather Update – School Closure for Friday, January 24🚨
Thomasville City Schools will be closed Friday, January 24, due to continued hazardous icy conditions. All after-school activities are also canceled. The safety of our students, staff, and parents is our top priority.
Conditions are expected to improve over the weekend, and we plan to resume normal operations on Monday.

🚨Important Weather Update🚨
Due to continued wintry weather conditions, Thomasville City Schools will remain closed on Thursday, January 23. The county-wide curfew has been extended until 8:00 AM Thursday. Icy road conditions continue to pose a safety concern, making travel unsafe for buses, staff, students, and parents.
Additionally, our HB581 hearing scheduled for January 23 will be rescheduled. The hearing on February 3 will proceed as planned.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates regarding the status for Friday, January 24.

The Thomasville City School’s Transition Fair is a free event for families of students with disabilities. It will provide valuable information on preparing for the future after high school.
The transition from school to work or to secondary education is often difficult. Representatives from useful agencies will be available to speak with you on matters related to education and advocacy, medical and legal issues, counseling and care, vocational rehab and employment services, and more. The key to success is planning!
Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled for February 20, 2025, from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Thomasville High School Cafeteria.
