Congratulations to our Dance program on a great weekend of competition at the Southern Elite Competition in Leesburg. The Red Hots came home with a first place finish in the High Kick in the 1A-7A Division, a 2nd place finish in Jazz in the 1A-7A Division, and finished 2nd overall in the 3A-5A division. Junior Brianna June competed in the High School Solo Division and came away with a 2nd place finish!
At the Middle School level, the Dance Dawgs finished 1st in both the High Kick and Jazz Divisions. 8th grader Savannah Harpe finished 1st in the Middle School Solo Competition!
The Red Hots are continuing their preparation for the State Championships coming up on February 11th in Macon, GA.
Middle school baseball season kicked off Saturday with a pre-season tournament in Quitman. The Red team made up of 6th graders went 2-0 on the day with wins over Clinch County and Brooks County, While the 7th grade Gold team went 2-1 with wins over Brooks and Atkinson County.
This week our Soccer teams will begin their season with scrimmage games. The varsity is at home on Tuesday night vs Lee County while the middle school team begins on Thursday against Cairo. Also, the Basketball teams are back on home Friday and Saturday night with big region games as we host Monroe and Crisp County.
Saturday, the baseball team will host their annual Fan Day at the Bryant-Garner Sports Complex. The festivities will begin at noon. Come out and see the 2023 version of the Diamond Dogs!
