    iLEAD Application Presented by the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by TC Federal Bank, iLead is a week-long summer leadership program for rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Get a behind-the-scenes look at city/county government and businesses and develop 21st century leadership skills. Hear from community leaders to understand the challenges facing our area and collaborate with peers to design community vision plans. Participants will also receive free access to coaching from Olive Orchard designed to help youth identify and reach their goals.

    LOIS ELAM SCHOLARSHIP : Our local DAR Chapter is excited to offer two $1000 scholarships to deserving seniors in our area who will begin college in 2024. This scholarship is given to students who plan to pursue careers in history, political science, education, journalism, library science, or other related fields. 

    Georgia Mining Foundation Endowment Scholarship Information On behalf of the Georgia Mining Foundation, I would like to announce the 2024 GMF Howard Brantley Endowment Scholarship Opportunity. The scholarship awarded for the year 2024 will be given in honor and recognition of a person whose dedication and commitment to the mining industry is unsurpassed: Howard Brantley.

     This scholarship will be in the amount of $4,000 ($1,000 per year for four years) and is limited to senior students planning to attend one of the following colleges: Mercer University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Southern Polytechnic at Kennesaw State University, University of Georgia, or Georgia Southern University. Your school has been chosen to participate in this scholarship program and we hope for excellent participation.  This program cannot be a success without your participation and we urge you to encourage the seniors at your school to submit applications.

     Please find the application, essay questions and information sheet for the 2024 GMF Howard Brantley Four-Year Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Georgia Mining Foundation at the corresponding links below. Please make copies of the application and information sheet and distribute to seniors who are interested in the program, or upload to scholarship section of your school website. Attached is a poster for you to display on your school's bulletin board to inform students that the program is being offered.
