Congratulations to Lindsay Tillman and Maylon Cochran who have been chosen to serve on the Georgia High School Association Student Advisory Council. These two student-athletes were nominated by the Thomasville City Schools Athletic Department and then chosen by the GHSA. They are two of eighteen students to serve on this council in the entire state.
Congratulations to Kevon Shy for winning the WALB "Play of the Week". He won this distinction on Friday when he returned a punt for a 55 yard touchdown in the Bulldogs 38-10 victory over Early County. The win Friday moved our Bulldogs to 7-0 on the year and 2-0 in the region.
Coach Ron O'Quinn. Coach O'Quinn, who serves as our Lady Dogs Softball coach was selected to coach the All State Softball Game this year. He was chosen through the Georgia Dugout Club. This game will take place November 11-12 in Columbus. Congratulations to Coach O'Quinn and thank you for all you do for the students of the Thomasville City School System!
Parents come join us Tuesday, September 26 at 6:00 PM to experience a crime scene that some of our students are taking part in in a new class that's being offered at Thomasville High School. This school term we introduced a new course, Biomedical. Ms. Mallory Ross and Mrs. Barbara Peralta are co-teaching this fun, engaging class and will be hosting the first Parent Engagement Session for this school term. Come learn what the students are taking part in and hear what other science classes are doing as well.

Congratulations to Coach Grage on being named the Atlanta Falcons Coach of the Week for the week of the Thomas County Central game. The award is based on his commitment to his team, community efforts, and player health and safety. On December 31, he will go to the Mercedes Benz Stadium to be awarded at halftime when the Falcons play the Carolina Panthers. Congratulations coach!

Blackmore, a senior, kicked a school-record 57-yard field goal in a 41-7 victory over Thomas County Central. Blackmore also made a 45-yarder.
